Postpartum Therapy for Moms Who Feel Like They're Drowning
When you become a mom, the expectation is that motherhood should be filled with joy. But if you're here, you know it's not always that simple. We get it.
People often tell us that they:
Feel overwhelmed by anxiety or sadness after giving birth
Worry they’re "not bonding enough" with their baby
Struggle with guilt, shame, or thoughts that scare them
Have trouble sleeping, eating, or functioning like themselves
Feel isolated, like no one understands what they’re going through
Therapy Can Help You Feel Like Yourself Again
At Nurture Therapy, we specialize in helping new moms navigate postpartum depression, anxiety, and the emotional weight of early motherhood. Therapy gives you a safe space to process what you're feeling and start to heal.
Imagine feeling less overwhelmed, more connected to your baby, and supported through the hard emotions instead of not alone with them.

We see you. We honor your story. And we're here to help.
Our Approach
Our clinicians are trained specifically in postpartum mental health. We offer a judgment-free space to make sense of what you're going through — through attachment-based therapy, somatic and mindfulness practices, and grief support when needed.
You don't need a diagnosis to belong here. If motherhood has felt emotionally complex, you're in the right place.
FAQs: What Others Often Tell Us
-
We get it. It is hard to get started with therapy, but especially for a new parent: your schedule is likely overflowing right now, you don’t have time to go to the bathroom let alone start the commitment of therapy. That's why we offer flexible scheduling and online sessions, so you can access therapy from home, during nap time, or whenever works for you. Babies are also welcome to join in sessions.

Most people who reach out have been struggling alone for a long time. You've done your best, and that's enough. Therapy isn't a sign of weakness, it's a powerful step toward healing and growth.

Many new moms experience anxiety, sadness, or intrusive thoughts after birth. It's more common than people talk about, and it doesn't mean you're failing. Perinatal mental health conditions are the most common complication of pregnancy or after birth. A perinatal therapist can help you understand what you're feeling and next steps.

No. Intrusive thoughts are a well-documented symptom of postpartum anxiety and OCD, not a reflection of who you are as a parent. Talking about them with a trained therapist rather than struggling with them alone is often the fastest path to relief. We also say that only good moms worry if they are being good moms!

Your pain is valid, no matter how it compares to someone else's. There's no hierarchy of suffering here. If you're struggling, you deserve support. This is not your fault, these feelings are not forever, and with help you will get well.
