Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect out of talk therapy?

Talk therapy offers a supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment and within a professional setting. In sessions, you’ll work with your therapist to better understand patterns, develop coping tools, and work toward meaningful change. Therapy can help with processing past experiences, navigating current challenges, and improving your emotional well-being and relationships. Progress looks different for everyone—some people seek insight and reflection, while others want concrete strategies and symptom relief. Either way, you’ll be met with compassion, collaboration, and care.

What if my therapist is not the right fit for me?

At Nurture Therapy, we make every effort to ensure goodness of fit. This is why we have a complimentary consultation call with our intake team. Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal process—and it’s okay if the first match doesn’t feel like the right fit. Your comfort and trust are essential to the therapeutic relationship and therapeutic connection yields the most successful results. If something doesn’t feel right, we encourage you to share your concerns with your therapist or reach out to our intake team. We believe in finding you the right fit and we are committed to doing so. We’re happy to help you find another provider on our team who may be a better match for your needs, style, or preferences or find you outside resources or referral. We truly mean it; your well-being comes first, and we want you to feel positively about your therapeutic journey.
