Therapy Fees & Insurance Coverage

Clear, transparent pricing and flexible payment options so you can focus on your emotional well-being.

At Nurture Therapy, we believe quality mental health care should be transparent and accessible. We are in-network with major commercial insurance plans and offer out-of-network reimbursement support for other policies. Payment is due at the end of each session.

We believe healthy, supported individuals raise healthy, happy families.

In-Network Insurance Plans

Nurture Therapy of Illinois is in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield Choice, UnitedHealthcare (IL), UMR (IL), and University of Chicago Plans: UCHP and USHIP.

If you plan to use insurance, coverage details must be verified prior to your intake appointment.

Out-of-Network Reimbursement (Superbills)

For all other insurance carriers, Nurture Therapy is an out-of-network provider. If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, we provide monthly superbills (reimbursement receipts) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Important Insurance Carve-Out Note

Some medical insurance plans contract with third-party administrators for mental health benefits. Even if your medical insurance is in-network with us, your mental health coverage may be carved out to an out-of-network provider. Please verify your specific mental health benefits with your carrier, or contact our Billing Department at billing@nurture-therapy.com with questions.

Late Cancellation Policy

We understand life shifts quickly with new babies and busy schedules. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please notify your provider or our office at least 48 hours in advance.

Cancellations, missed sessions, or rescheduling requests made within the 48-hour window are subject to a $100 late cancellation fee. This fee is the client's responsibility and cannot be billed to insurance.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133), healthcare providers must give clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of expected costs for non-emergency medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency care prior to service.

  • Delivery Timeframes: Received within 1 business day of scheduling (if scheduled 3+ business days in advance) or within 3 business days of scheduling (if scheduled 10+ business days in advance).

  • Dispute Protections: If you receive a bill that is at least $400 higher than your Good Faith Estimate, federal law allows you to dispute the bill.

A Good Faith Estimate is for your awareness only and does not require you to make any binding commitment. A universal waiver form is available in our online client portal. To learn more, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
