About Me
I am a Licensed Social Worker and received my Master's in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. My background in pediatric medical social work has given me experience supporting individuals and families through complex medical situations, unexpected challenges, and major life transitions. This work helped shape my passion for supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood.
My therapeutic style is warm, conversational, and collaborative. I take a strengths-based approach to meet your individual needs. I strive to create a space where you can openly explore the joys, challenges, and unexpected emotions that can accompany this season of life without fear of judgment. Together, we'll build on the strengths you already have, better understand what you're experiencing, and develop tools to help you feel more confident and supported moving forward.
Trauma-Informed Support for Medical & Reproductive Complications
Are you finding yourself suddenly navigating a medical system that is built to manage your physical health, but often overlooks your emotional well-being?When pregnancy, birth, or parenting becomes complicated by medical uncertainty, finding space for your own emotional healing can feel overwhelming. You may be focused on appointments, procedures, test results, or your baby’s health while quietly trying to make sense of what has happened to you. Whether your path to parenthood has taken an unexpected medical turn or you are facing a challenge you never expected, you don’t have to navigate the emotional impact alone. I combine my clinical expertise with deep empathy to support you through the uncertainty, grief, fear, and adjustment that can accompany medically complex experiences.
My work includes supporting parents after traumatic births and NICU stays, including emergency procedures, frightening deliveries, and the lingering anxiety that can remain long after the immediate crisis has passed. With trauma-focused therapy, we can process what happened so that the experience no longer feels as though it is happening to you over and over again. I also work with individuals navigating high-risk pregnancies, unexpected fetal diagnoses, bedrest, hospitalizations, ongoing medical uncertainty, and grief and loss. When appointments, test results, or changes in your body bring new uncertainty, you may find yourself constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. I get it; together, we’ll make space for your fears while using CBT and other evidence-based approaches to manage overwhelming thoughts, cope with uncertainty, and help you feel more grounded in the parts of your experience you can control. I help clients process the shock and grief of those moments while building the emotional steadiness needed to live within uncertainty.
